We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates in safety, environmental science, or related fields to gain hands-on experience in workplace safety management. The Safety Intern will support the safety team in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment while learning about safety regulations, risk assessments, and accident prevention strategies.

A day in the life:
- Assist in the development and implementation of workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Help conduct safety inspections and risk assessments across various departments.
- Support in accident investigations and reporting, ensuring that proper documentation is maintained.
- Participate in safety training sessions and assist in preparing training materials.
- Help monitor compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards.
- Conduct research on best practices for workplace safety and environmental health.
- Assist in preparing reports on safety audits, incidents, and compliance.
- Aid in the maintenance of safety equipment and ensure its proper usage.
- Collaborate with team members to organize and support safety drills, meetings, and events.
- Assist with the analysis of safety data and trends to identify potential areas for improvement.
You should have:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in workplace safety, risk management, and compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, local standards) is a plus but not required.
- Previous internship or work experience in a safety-related role.
- Familiarity with safety equipment and hazard control methods.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
