Pay: $16,502 per year stipend (required # of hours: 1,700/year)

Day-To-Day

  • Participates in marketing and recruitment for workforce services at the Financial Opportunity Center and/or healthcare access.
  • Actively promotes VOA Texas Houston programs to create awareness and demonstrate the potential they have on career and life advancement 
  • Provides resources and ongoing referrals for workforce development client readiness and retention. 
  • Organizes and prepares materials for weekly orientations, workshops, job readiness and soft skills trainings, financial literacy, job placement, job retention services,  and community events. 
  • Fluent in local community resources and programs and provides constant referral to programs that foster continued health and wellness of the participant.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Experience working with nonprofit and/or financial institution

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and ability to be insured.
