Organization, flexibility, excellent customer focus, and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:
Manage the overall financial health of projects:
- Develop and maintain project financial projections and equipment projections
- Allocate project estimates into the financial system with the accounting team
- Assign cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions
- Provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment
- Create monthly owner billings
Manage subcontracts/suppliers & Shaw-Lundquist Staff for the project:
- Maintain the budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliers
- Handle billings and contract management, including contract buyouts
- Handle cost or performance disputes with Subcontractors or Suppliers
- Approve timecards for onsite team members
Function as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative:
- Assist with the review of the owner’s agreement
- Resolve site concerns for the owner or representative
- Function as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative
- Provide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunities
Execute scope changes & change orders:
- Decide when to submit scope changes to the owner or on-site representatives
- Obtain the customer/architect’s approval
- Process owner change orders
Other responsibilities including:
- Maintain schedule and budget until project completion
- Provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members
- Lead the Closeout Process of the project
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of Project Management/Field Engineer/Project Engineer experience
- Basic Estimating Experience
- Demonstrated Ability to Manage Projects up to $10M
- Ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projects to support the Senior PM
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and lead multiple project tasks
- Possess a basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Microsoft Office, Project, Bluebeam, ProCore, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
- Demonstrated positive and professional attitude and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Shaw-Lundquist policies
- Current driver’s license
- Ability to travel to remote locations & manage out of area projects
- Experience working at the MSP airport is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil, or architectural engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience in a Project Management Certification Program
- OSHA 30
Shaw-Lundquist Associates, Inc. (SLA) provides competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packages. The annual salary ranges from $98,000 to $120,000, depending on experience. In addition, we have a potential year-end discretionary bonus program based on company results and individual performance. A monthly vehicle allowance of $500 is also included.
