General Summary:

The Project Manager's role is to find the highest levels of success and profitability by managing and overseeing projects from contract to completion. Additionally, they are responsible for coordinating and managing various aspects of the project with assistance from the team, including delivery coordination and scheduling. They should develop relationships with key stakeholders, manage budgets, and plan work assignments that meet the client's project requirements. Moreover, it is important for the Project Manager to maintain a ‘We, Not Me’ philosophy, have fun at work, and love what you do.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Project Manager:

  • Help drive the BakerTriangle vision as stated in our mission statement:

  • Represent the company at the highest level to clients, peer organizations, vendors, distributors, and business associates alike
  • Engage in company association memberships and participate in industry events in construction-related organizations such as TEXO, DACA, AIA, LCI, or similar
  • Manage and monitor client relationships by meeting expectations and resolving issues
  • Create, review, and manage SOV’s, submittals, RFI’s , delivery logs, procurement logs, QAQC reporting, LEED documentation, close-out documents, labor flows, percent complete updates/projections, project handoffs, and other project-specific documentation as needed
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Create and manage all project pricing post-contract
  • Assist in leading and coaching Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
  • Perform duties periodically assigned by your Manager and/or Leadership Team
  • Evaluate the marketing functions as needed with your Manager and/or Leadership Team, including vendor events, client lunches, presentations, and industry-sponsored events in construction-related organizations such as TEXO, DACA, AIA, LCI, or similar
  • Other duties as required

Expectations:

  • Proficient with all project drawings & specifications
  • Proficient with quantity takeoff & pricing software(s)
  • Proficient in PlanGrid/Autodesk Build
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of products, SmartSheet, Plangrid, OpenSpace, & other construction-related programs
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines within the industry
  • Understanding of construction schedules, project sequencing, and labor flows
  • Strong understanding of risk management and risk mitigation
  • Understanding of all the scopes of work that BakerTriangle provides
  • Understanding of materials, material systems, constructability of material, and labor production trends
  • Understanding of contract and scope review along with knowledge of contractual procedures to follow
  • Understanding of issuing subcontracts and purchase order agreements
  • Close communication with both office and field personnel
  • Ability to run and lead meetings
  • Time spent on-site with superintendents, foremen, safety, and other field support members

Qualifications:

  • Project management: 3 years (Required)
  • US work authorization (Required)
  • College Degree in Building Construction (Preferred)
