PARTY CHIEF

CWR is a growing road construction company.  We are currently seeking an experienced Party Chief for our local operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating the activity, effective performance, training, and safety of all members of a field survey party
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of survey computations, types of surveys and field operations in construction site / heavy civil layout
  • Supervises all survey crew members performing construction stakeout, and surveys including topographic, boundary and utility
  • Prepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed
  • Maintain quality of all measurements
  • Record all required data collected and calculations made and review for correctness
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles used by surveying crews
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in heavy civil construction surveying and FDOT stake out experience required
  • Trimble machine control experience and GPS layout knowledge is a plus
  • General knowledge and understanding of ALTA standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license
  • Employer conducts drug screening and background check
