Casella Construction is offering a Summer Internship in Finance and Accounting, an opportunity to join us in the Spring/Summer of 2025 for our Paid Internship. This internship will focus on honing your practical skills and field experience in finance and accounting within our Corporate Accounting team.
Our internship program aligns with your school’s curriculum. Learn firsthand what it takes to manage financial operations and enhance your knowledge of what you learned in the classroom. You'll get hands-on experience learning financial management functions, accounting skills, and analytical tasks, including:
- Generating and assembling KPIs used in weekly management reporting cycles.
- Analyzing operating trends and generating comments for management reviews.
- Preparing month-end and year-end financial reports.
- Supporting cash flow management and completing budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Generate/assemble KPIs used in weekly management reporting cycles.
- Analyze operating trends.
- Generate comments/talking points for management reviews.
- Prepare month-end and year-end reports.
- Support cash flow management.
- Complete budgeting and forecasting.
- Act as a liaison with external auditors.
- Demonstrate familiarity and experience with ASC 842 lease accounting.
- Demonstrate familiarity and experience with debt roll-forward and fixed assets roll-forward.
- Demonstrate a desire to learn and understand divisional operations.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems).
- Strong interest in finance and accounting practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Accounting Major with MIS Minor preferred.

Benefits:
Our Spring / Summer 2025 Internships are 8-12 weeks, 40 hours or more per week and generally start in the May / June timeframe (start and end dates are flexible based on your availability).
