Casella Construction is offering a Summer Internship in Construction, an opportunity to join us in the Spring/Summer of 2025 for our Paid Internship. This internship will focus on honing your practical skills and field experience in Construction Management within our Construction Department.
Our internship program aligns with your school’s curriculum. Learn firsthand what it takes to start and finish a project and enhance your knowledge of what you learned in the classroom. You'll get hands-on experience learning management functions, construction skills, and safety tasks, including:
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing construction projects.
- Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Manage traffic packages and ensure proper setup.
- Schedule tasks and manage job costing.
- Oversee personnel and ensure efficient workflow.
- Implement and adhere to best safety practices on the jobsite.
- Occasionally visit jobsites to conduct inspections and audits.
- Participate in safety and training meetings as required.
- Clean up jobsite at end of day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials and equipment are properly stored.
- Follow the curriculum of your school to fulfill the goals of your internship.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science).
- Strong interest in construction management and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Benefits:
Our Spring / Summer 2025 Internships are 8-12 weeks, 40 hours or more per week and generally start in the May / June timeframe (start and end dates are flexible based on your availability).
