Project Engineer will:

• Learn about construction through engagement with superintendents, project managers, owners, architects, subcontractors, and engineers. 
• Review and enforce subcontract agreements necessary for the completion of the project.
• Review and adhere to the project budget.
• Ensure that the project moves forward in a timely, cost-effective manner, making changes and adjustments as necessary.
• Manage RFI, submittal and punchlist processes.
• Work with project team to organize and report construction activities.
• Study the plans, specifications, and owner contract in order to understand what is required to build the job.
• Assist in enforcing safety guidelines and operational requirements on the jobsite.
• Enforce all quality control policies and procedures.
• Help to identify and resolve scope conflicts, working with Project Manager to attain resolution as soon as possible.
• Maintain constant communication with all project team members throughout the construction and closeout of the project.
• Maintain documentation of all efforts related to the management of the project using approved company means and methods.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar field preferred, or 2 years of commercial construction management experience
• Excellent communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening
• Good planning and organizational skills, including design execution, resource allocation and contingencies
• Great with problem solving and decision-making skills
• OSHA 10 Certification in Construction and a demonstrated in-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
