The Geostructural/Concrete Grouting/Repair team within our Industrial Division is searching for a Shotcrete Nozzleman.
Responsibilities
- Set up, use (shoot) and clean Shotcrete Equipment on various types of heavy construction projects.
- Maintains and checks equipment daily, informing Superintendent/Foreman of any needed maintenance on equipment.
- Trains other crew members with the various equipment needed (shotcrete pump, gunite rig, air compressor, hoses, etc.) and disperses responsibility to crew members.
- Inspects areas to ensure all the reinforcement (rebar, concrete substrate, soil nails, etc) is properly installed and ready for shotcrete.
- Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with site staff, owners, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Sets productivity goals, measures performance, and submits required reports as required by contract and company procedures.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with site safety policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be familiar with concrete pumping equipment, compressors/hoses and their operations and safety procedures
- Must have working knowledge of forming, grades and screeding of shotcrete surfaces.
- Familiar with basic concrete technology and the effects of all environmental conditions
- ACI Shotcrete Certification preferred, but not required
Work Environment:
Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. While performing the essential functions of this job the Superintendent will regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle and manipulate objects, reach with hands and arms, lift above the head, bend to the waist, squat, talk, and hear. Occasionally climb ladders, crawl in tight or confined spaces, and lift, move or push up to 75 pounds. Specific vision requirements include near, far, and color vision. Ascend or descend stairs as well as walk on uneven terrain. Work in construction areas poses a greater risk due to moving equipment and potential trip and fall hazards. Regularly be exposed to varying temperatures (high and low) and loud noises.
