Casella Construction is offering a Summer Internship in the Transportation Department an opportunity to join us the Spring/Summer of 2025 for our Paid Internship. This internship will focus on honing your practical skills and field experience in transportation management and process improvement within our Transportation Department.
Responsibilities:
- Dive deep into our administrative processes and uncover innovative ways to streamline and enhance efficiency.
- Take charge of reviewing and refining our payroll processes, permits, and hours of service compliance to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct process reviews and improvements to drive the efficiency of our processes through data analytics.
- Develop and roll out a dynamic KPI system to monitor and elevate performance across the board.
- Use technology to automate and improve current processes.
- Ensure all daily paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.
- Participate in safety and training meetings as required.
- Follow the curriculum of your school to fulfill the goals of your internship.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business Management, Transportation Management, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Logistics).
- Strong interest in process improvement and data analytics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Benefits:
Our Spring / Summer 2025 Internships are 8-12 weeks, 40 hours or more per week and generally start in the May / June timeframe (start and end dates are flexible based on your availability).
