Job Summary:
The Quality Control Intern is a part-time position ideal for students interested in learning about concrete operations and quality control testing. This role provides hands-on experience in the field and is well-suited for students pursuing degrees in construction materials, construction engineering, construction management, civil engineering, or architecture. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and develop essential skills.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform sampling, testing, and result verification in strict adherence with ASTM, AASHTO, State DOT, and other required test methods and company procedures.

Ensure plant and delivery vehicles maintain product quality standards.

Inform management and appropriate personnel immediately when product quality issues arise.

Maintain accurate records and logs.

Analyze data and test reports for quality issues and, if necessary, write reports regarding quality testing equipment or production issues.

Analyze customer concerns with plastic or hardened concrete.

Work closely with company sales, customer service, production, dispatch, and delivery personnel. Provide supervision to hourly employees as necessary.

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Communicate professionally with employees, customers, specifiers, and vendors.

Perform all tasks in a safe and professional manner.

Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment.

Attend and participate in company safety meetings and training sessions as required.
Skills/Abilities:

Valid Driver’s License (DL) and satisfactory driving record required.

Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers, managers, and office staff.
