Summary:

Perform various surveying related tasks using both traditional methods and entry-level Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to produce precise and accurate results in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and various electronic data collectors.
  • Position and hold surveying rods to locate and record measurements.
  • Utilize entry-level CAD software to create and modify simple surveying drawings and plans under guidance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Requirements:

  • Strong math skills.
  • Entry-level experience or familiarity with CAD software.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to critical problems.
  • Good oral and written skills to communicate on multiple levels with various clients and co-workers.
  • Proficient with MS Office programs.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Desire to work outdoors year-round.
  • Must be a self-starter with the desire to learn and advance.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exposure to or coursework in CAD is a plus.
