Summary:
Perform various surveying related tasks using both traditional methods and entry-level Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to produce precise and accurate results in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and various electronic data collectors.
- Position and hold surveying rods to locate and record measurements.
- Utilize entry-level CAD software to create and modify simple surveying drawings and plans under guidance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Strong math skills.
- Entry-level experience or familiarity with CAD software.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to critical problems.
- Good oral and written skills to communicate on multiple levels with various clients and co-workers.
- Proficient with MS Office programs.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Desire to work outdoors year-round.
- Must be a self-starter with the desire to learn and advance.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exposure to or coursework in CAD is a plus.
