Projects: Water/Wastewater, Industrial Buildings, Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Estimating Process: Oversee comprehensive job setup, detailed takeoffs, and the development of competitive bids.
  • Vendor Coordination: Evaluate and manage vendor RFQs, ensuring all costs and contingencies are accurately reflected.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate on drafting proposals and project scopes, providing critical insights during the pre-construction kickoff.
  • Project Management: Independently manage small to medium-sized projects while offering leadership and support on larger, complex bids.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior estimators, ensuring consistency and precision across all estimating activities.

Preferred Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Advanced technical knowledge of electrical systems and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with McCormick estimating software, CAD, Bluebeam, and Foundation construction software.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Planner).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Competence in drafting professional correspondence and articulating clear project objectives.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma required; vocational or technical training in electrical or construction disciplines is a must.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in estimating, controls, and/or engineering within relevant disciplines.
  • Advanced expertise in your field, with a strong foundation in estimating techniques, cost control, and computerized cost data interpretation.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. $105,000.00 to $125,000.00
