We are seeking a motivated and skilled Licensed Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Utah. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Journeyman Electrician, learning and gaining practical experience in electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. This position offers an opportunity for growth, development, and advancement within our organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  2. Learning and following electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards to ensure compliance and safe working conditions.
  3. Assisting in troubleshooting electrical issues, identifying faults, and repairing or replacing defective components.
  4. Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
  5. Handling electrical tools, equipment, and materials in a safe and efficient manner.
  6. Assisting in the testing and inspection of electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
  7. Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including time spent, materials used, and tasks completed.
  8. Collaborating with other team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
  9. Following instructions and guidance from licensed electricians to develop your skills and knowledge in the field.
  10. Continuously improving technical skills through on-the-job training and educational programs.

Skills Required:

Year 1 Apprentice:

  • Valid Apprentice Electrician license with the State of Utah.
  • Enrolled in an Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles and concepts.
  • Familiarity with electrical tools, equipment, and their usage.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Year 2 Apprentice:

  • Valid Apprentice Electrician license with the State of Utah.
  • Enrolled in Electrical Apprenticeship Program - 1st year of school completed with a ‘C’or better average.
  • 2000+ hours electrical experience in the field documented.
  • Expanded knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Experience in basic electrical installations and repairs.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and procedures.

Year 3 Apprentice:

  • Valid Apprentice Electrician license with the State of Utah.
  • Enrolled in Electrical Apprenticeship Program – 2nd year of school completed with a ‘C’or better average.
  • 4000+ hours electrical experience in the field documented.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, components, and their functions.
  • Experience in complex electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to lead small projects and mentor less experienced apprentices.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Proficient use of electrical tools, equipment, and testing instruments.

Year 4 Apprentice:

  • Valid Apprentice Electrician license with the State of Utah.
  • Enrolled in Electrical Apprenticeship Program – 3rd year of school completed with a ‘C’or better average.
  • 6000+ hours electrical experience in the field documented.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, components, and their applications.
  • Expertise in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ability to work independently on complex electrical projects.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols.

 

Requirements:

  1. Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and working at heights.
  2. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  3. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed and may be asked to travel.
  4. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  5. Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
