A day in the life:
- Collaborate with Engineers to calculate heat loads and determine refrigeration requirements for industrial facilities
- Apply thermodynamics and heat transfer principles to size and select refrigeration equipment, piping and control valves
- Assist in developing compliance documentation for safety systems in accordance with OSHA’s PMS standards
- Help create engineering tools to streamline calculations and design processes
- Review designs to ensure they meet industry codes and standards
- Participate in site visits, documenting key findings to support engineering decisions
- Analyze and review submittal drawings and technical data for compliance with project specifications
- Utilize AutoCAD to develop P&ID’s, flow diagrams, plans and specifications for industrial refrigeration systems
You should:
- Be pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree, Mechanical Engineering Technology degree, other engineering degrees or equivalent technical experience
- Willingness to work hard within a team, learn a ton, and have fun!
- Demonstrate analysis and problem solving skills to resolve technical design challenges
- Demonstrate proficiency interfacing with technology, including knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel for cost estimating and engineering functions
- Possess a valid driver’s license
