Job Summary
Quarry Oaks Golf Club is looking for a dynamic Outside Services Director to join the team! This position oversees all outside operations and guest services at Quarry Oaks, ensuring that all guests have an exceptional experience from arrival to departure. This individual will manage and lead the outside services team ensuring the golf course’s high standards for service, safety, and presentation are maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
- Recruits, trains, and supervises all outside services staff, including golf cart attendants, bag drop personnel, and marshals, and ensures that all staff comply with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Assists with scheduling shifts and ensure proper staffing to meet guest demand, particularly during peak hours, large groups, and events.
- Monitors and provides feedback to staff, maintaining a positive work environment and promoting high levels of customer service.
- Manages the rental club inventory by ensuring they are clean and in good working order ready for use by guests and returned complete.
- Coordinates with the golf course superintendent and operations team to ensure course conditions are optimal for play, including the management of cart paths, parking, and course flow.
- Tracks golfer and cart information by using the PACE GPS system, monitors pace of play as needed and works with golf staff to ensure proper place of play.
- Tracks and maintains inventory of golf carts, range equipment, tees, and related outside services supplies.
- Ensures regular maintenance and servicing of golf carts and other equipment, coordinating repairs when necessary.
- Monitors the condition of paths, carts, and course areas to ensure the safety of guests and ensures that all outside areas are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Works with the event coordinator and management team to ensure the successful execution of tournaments, outings, and special events.
- Maintains knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols in the event of an accident or injury.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in management, hospitality, or related field; and
- 2 years previous experience in supervisory or management role in golf course operations, hospitality or related field; or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
Other Qualifications:
- Knowledge of golf course operations, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to operate golf carts and other equipment as needed.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and/or move up items weighing up to 50 pounds.
