JOB PURPOSE:

 Responsible for maintaining and setting up food production and quality control of all meats, fish, poultry, sauces, stocks, seasoning and all other food items prepared in the kitchen stations in order to produce food that is not only delicious and cooked to the specifications of the customer but that is prepared to safety standards..

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check to ensure consistency of product to the guest.
  • Ensures compliance with all hotel policies and procedures that relate to food and beverage, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Checks and controls the proper storage of product, monitoring age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain highest quality. Keeps all refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free, complying with Health Department regulations.
  • Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
