What we’re looking for:

NAC is looking for a Building Automation Field Technician to join our driven and dedicated team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning: Perform system commissioning, calibration, and validation to ensure systems operate as intended.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with BAS components, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and network devices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting efforts. Prepare detailed reports and documentation as required.
  • Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to explain system functions, provide operational training, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of building automation systems to ensure continuous optimal performance.
  • Training and Support: Assist in the training of clients and building staff on the operation and maintenance of building automation systems.

Requirements for the Building Automation Field Technician:

  • Education: Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, Building Automation, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in building automation systems, HVAC controls, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on programming BAS components. Experience with Distech, Alerton, Johnson Controls or N4 Certification experience is a plus but willing to train the right person.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Working knowledge of building automation protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
    • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and network configurations.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing issued by state of residence.

Salary/Benefits: 

  • Estimated Salary range of $57,000 to $79,000 (depending on experience) plus Incentive
