Structural Restoration Laborer

Position Summary:
The Structural Restoration Services labor will Perform tasks involving physical labor at building construction projects as directed. This role combines operating machinery, controlling traffic, cleaning up job sites, and working with a team of laborers, technicians and foremen.
Essential Functions:
- Operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, measuring equipment, grinders, saws, screw guns, mixing equipment, chipping guns, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
- Clean and prepare sites, clean up rubble and instruments
- Assist masons, carpenters, waterproofers, restoration technicians and other craft workers in performing their tasks.
- Mop, brush, roll or spread paints, cleaning solutions, coatings or other compounds as required for waterproofing, sealing, finishing, stripping, or protection of surfaces.
- Operate jackhammers, breakers, saws and/or drills to break up concrete, masonry, wood and metal floors, walls, decks, ceilings, and other structures
- Mix, place, consolidate, and assist in forming, finishing, and stripping formwork for concrete, grout and other patching materials.
- Install anchors, pins, connections, and embeds in masonry, concrete, wood and metal structures.
- Transport, cut, bend, set, & tie rebar, wire mesh, and other reinforcing material
- Position, join, align, and seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections and pipes.
- Place cement and other materials into portable concrete and mortar mixers; and mix, pour, and place concrete, prepare and deliver materials to masons
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, transport, handling, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Spray materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, or stucco through hoses to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.
- Tend machines that pump concrete, grout, cement, sand, plaster or stucco for application to ceilings and walls.
- Tend pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or to heat or move materials.
- Lubricate, clean, and maintain machinery, equipment, and tools
- Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Cleanup trash, rubble, and debris and transport to dumpsters or other receptacles as directed
- Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones
- Erect and disassemble shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures.
- Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces such as concrete, masonry, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring, using abrasive tools or
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, as directed.
- Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed.
- Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces
- Raze building components and salvage useful materials
- Assist with the transport, erection, and/or dismantling of scaffolds, swing stages, mast climbing access equipment, hoists, and other types of access
- Must habitually read product Data Sheets and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and any other important product information provided, prior to use of each product.

Physical Demands:
- Moves materials in a safe, careful, and organized
- Can lift up to 100 pounds in a safe manner
- Performs other duties as requested by SRS management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced education or certifications in construction management or related fields.
- Experience with drone technology and software for project tracking.
Travel:
Travel to job sites and training sessions may be required, including out-of-state travel with overnight stays.
