The Legal Insurance Intern role is ideal for individuals pursuing a legal career or currently enrolled in law school. This internship offers hands-on experience working closely with the legal and insurance team to support various aspects of legal compliance, insurance administration, and risk management within the organization. This role provides an opportunity to develop essential business and legal skills, gain insight into legal and insurance matters, and experience professional growth while making meaningful contributions to our company.
Legal & Insurance Intern Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on construction-related legal matters such as contracts, permits, and compliance matters.
- Assist in the review and drafting of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, memoranda, and correspondence.
- Assist with contract reviews.
- Assist with departmental workflow and document tracking processes
- Review, analyze, document & file legal and insurance project-specific documents for compliance purposes
- Assist in identifying potential legal risks and liabilities facing the organization
- Any other duties assigned by Contract Manager and General Counsel
Legal & Insurance Intern Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a business, legal, political science or related degree with the an interest in pursuing a career in the legal field.
- High level of detail orientation with excellent follow-up skills
- Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Professional attitude and demeanor required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
