JOB SUPERINTENDENT: 

Responsibilities: Below are the essential duties and responsibilities of the position; other duties may be assigned as directed:

  • Safety-focused mentality – Provides, maintains, and enforces a safety-first work environment for Company employees and subcontractors, including (1) holding regular on-site safety meetings, (2) enforcing all company, OSHA, and other applicable safety standards with subcontractors and employees, (3) provides timely and accurate documentation and reporting of any safety issues and/or unsafe acts of subcontractors and/or employees to project manager, safety director and/or management
  • Communicates proactively and effectively with all parties involved in a project, including (1) communicating daily with the project manager advising on job progress, issues, additional costs, or job scope changes, (2) schedules and coordinating with subcontractors, material suppliers, trucks, and employees – updates project team members on project schedule with a strive to look out two weeks for hurdles or acceleration of project timelines (3) works with project managers to maintain accountability of subcontractors
  • Leads quality control process, including (1) ensuring all work complies with specified quality standards, (2) inspecting subcontractor’s work and material for quality compliance, (3) coordinating outside inspection or testing as needed to ensure quality control, primarily with site engineer (4) strives to complete job punch-list items timely
  • Completes daily administration duties, including (1) reports time/equipment entry, quantities, trucking, and other appropriate logs/pictures into Heavy Job (2) assists the project manager in the change order process, identifying these immediately (3) monitoring subcontractor work and updates progress/delays to project manager (4) participates in regular jobs progress meetings
  • Supervises in a fair, equitable, and consistent manner; maintains strong working relationships with employees and subcontractors; addresses and documents performance problems that occur; anticipates job performance and/or hurdles and addresses them before they occur
  • Assists inefficient utilization of labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and other related resources to minimize job cost; informs foremen and crew of production goals and standards and keeps them informed as the job progresses
  • Additional responsibilities may be added as necessary

 Compensation: The base salary will be determined based on the candidate's skill and experience level. Access to full benefits, including 401K with a match, medical, dental, and vision insurance.
