As a result of the expansion of our Design/Build Department, we are currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the effort on design/build HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects from conceptual design to final construction documents.
- Working in a collaborative environment with other team members on assigned projects.
- Attending and contributing at design meetings with Architects, Engineers, General Contractors and other sub-contractors.
- Visiting jobsites of new construction and remodeling projects.
You also meet most (if not all) of the following requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-10 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in HVAC, piping, and plumbing design.
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop mechanical plans, collaborate with other designers, and guide the entire process from concept through construction drawings.
- Be proactive in collaborating with in-house staff, including project managers, to keep projects on time and on budget.
- Successful leadership and project management skills.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards including building, mechanical, energy, and ASHRAE guidelines.
- Proficiency in Revit and Autocad design software.
- Proficiency in Trane 3D Plus or similar load calculation software.
- PE, LEED, certifications a plus.
