About the Position  

We are seeking a candidate who is willing to work in the field as a crane operator and who is a professional communicator. Responsible for operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures the load is safely attached to the crane before bringing it down.  The crane operator directly controls the crane’s functions and must have good manual dexterity and the ability to manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate the speed and direction of the crane and hoist according to written, verbal, or signal instructions. This person needs to be willing and able to operate other equipment, such as forklifts and loaders. This person will be required to adhere to company policies and values and thrive in a team setting.

Local applicants are preferred. Crane operation would be the primary job function, however other heavy equipment operations would be utilized.

Project Scope - IMCO is performing improvements on the Oxbow dam spillway. This is a very large site located in a remote region.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting pay is $50-60 Hourly
  • housing packages available

  • 401K match on eligible wages and available for eligible employees on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. IMCO offers 100% contribution matching up to 4% of the employee’s eligible wages.

Responsibilities  

  • Understands and responds to all applicable hand signals
  • Proficient with rigging and terminology that keeps safety at the forefront.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or company security operations for the protection of people and property.

Location & Commitments 

  • Project Location – Oxbow, OR 
  • Project Duration – Starts Spring 2025 – roughly 1 year
  • 8–10-hour shifts
  • Overtime may be available
  • Evening/weekend work may be necessary to meet milestones

Requirements and Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years of civil experience
  • 5 years’ experience with lattice boom crane
  • NCCCO certified for Lattice Boom Crawler and able to maintain NCCCO certification
  • Current and valid driver’s license, free of any major violations
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to read plans and drawings with basic math skills to assist ground personnel with cuts and fills
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Pre-employment drug testing required
  • Criminal background check required
  • Adhere to all safety requirements 
  • Must be capable of passing site-specific safety training and testing,
  • Commitment to teamwork, safe work practices, and integrity
