The team at Coastline is hiring a Class A Driver at their Meridian, ID branch and look to find an enthusiastic candidate to round out the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Transportation: Transport heavy equipment to/from customer job sites and between dealer facilities.
  • Support Services: Assist rental, sales, and service departments with equipment delivery and pickup.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain records of pickups and deliveries, including obtaining necessary signatures and receipts.
  • Certification Compliance: Maintain required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA, and company policies.
  • Time and Distance Accounting: Account for all time and distance traveled, including completing truck logbooks.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Keep assigned trucks and related equipment in good operating condition.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers on job sites and in customer offices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a semi-trailer truck operator.
  • Licenses: Valid Class A/CDL License.
  • Mechanical Background: Possess mechanical skills of heavy haul pre-trip requirements.
  • Heavy Haul: Previously operated rollback trucks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Endorsements: Doubles, Triples, Hazards, etc.

Work Environment

  • Flexible Scheduling: Must be able to work early morning hours for equipment delivery as required by customers.
  • Driving: Must be able to drive and travel in a vehicle. For the purposes of driving, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Physical Conditions: Must be able to lift 75 pound and properly chain down construction equipment.
