Primary Purpose of this position:
Responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial data to best support and provide insights to construction, service and corporate management on the company’s financial performance.
Specific Job Duties:
- Prepare and review financial statements: prepare and examine financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements. Includes all activities in AP, AR, PR, JC and general ledger to assure accuracy and integrity of monthly closing process. Monthly account reconciliations.
- Preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting as required by the corporate office. Monthly distribution of internal financial statements.
- Audit: participate in all audit responsibilities, both internal and external.
- Budget and Forecast responsibilities: Assist in the yearly budget process and quarterly forecasting requirements.
- Process improvement: gain extensive knowledge of accounting systems to offer suggestions and strategies on improvements and enhancements of all processes within the accounting department. Determine reporting requirements of service and construction teams to best support their business analysis and projects.
- ERP System: Extensive knowledge required of all company software systems to maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage subcontractor compliance requirements, monthly CTC process, use tax analysis and reporting, national purchasing reporting and processes and company purchasing card program.
- Provide guidance and support to all areas of operations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 4-year accounting degree or equivalent required
- 3-5 years of general accounting experience
- Construction accounting experience is preferred
- CPA or advanced degree is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Normal lifting and bending that would typically be required in an office environment.
Other Requirements:
- Comply with all safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Comply and uphold CSUSA core values. Always project an attitude of integrity and honesty.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Participate in upcoming projects including, but not limited to, revamping of the monthly CTC process and job cost reporting, replacement of the current time keeping system, updating financials statements, service management reporting and construction department revisions.
- Coverage for Controller as needed and requested.
- Other projects as delegated.
- Experience with Office Connector and/or Power BI reports is preferred
