As a Safety Director you take the lead in creating and maintaining a culture of safety on your assigned project. You'll:
- Guide teams, including trade partners, on best safety practices
- Develop and implement site specific safety training for all workers.
- Play a key role in ensuring everyone onsite understands and prioritizes safety.
- Lead Divisional Safety Lead Team.
The ultimate goal is to ensure each worker returns home safely each day.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Four (4) year safety/health related degree minimum five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completion of OSHA 500. Certificate must be current within four-year time period.
- Previous experience in direct supervision of health and safety issues along with administration of programs such as Safety Training, Risk Analysis, Incident Investigations, Root Cause Analysis, and OSHA related issues, including but not limited to inspections.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of construction safety and be the resource for project staff.
- Ability to identify potential hazardous situations and recommend preventative measures.
- Experience with Mission Critical Data Centers a plus.
- Basic knowledge of builder's risk requirements and how to avoid claims.
- Expectation should be 50% site conditions and 50% office conditions.
