We would like to add an experienced Senior Superintendent to our team to work within the established culture and guidelines of the Company. Qualified candidates will have strong communication and IT skills, leadership potential and at least some prior experience managing challenging projects.
Position Title: Senior Superintendent
Status: Exempt
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Required Experience: 10+ years
Salary Range: $175,000 to 180,000+
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead, supervise and develop, Project forepersons, Project Engineers, Assistant Superintendents, Superintendents and/or Interns, including performance review.
- Develop, produce and implement the overall project set-up and site logistics
- Develop and implement overall project schedules.
- Identify critical materials, and/or equipment, for timely phased delivery and installation.
- Ensure subcontractors have sufficient resources on site to meet the schedule.
- Review and respond to subcontractor claims of schedule impacts, claims of productivity impacts and extra work.
- Develop and enforce recovery schedules.
- Develop and manage the overall site safety program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with Plant Construction Company standards per the IIPP and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
- Develop and manage quality control plan for the project. Ensure that all work is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.
- Oversee work among all trades to promote a coordinated project operation.
- Primary liaison with client, architects, engineers, consultants, etc. for the construction activities of the project.
- Participate in project pursuits, proposals and presentations. Contributor in securing the project during the RFP process.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
- A minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the field,
- Prior work as a superintendent,
- Knowledge of construction means and methods,
- scheduling and cost control procedures.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, including but not limited to subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, project schedule and document control platform.
- Effectively manage subcontractors performing the various factions of the project.
- Consistently exhibits clear written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to make those around them better while building internal and external teams.
