About the Role
We’re hiring a Plant and Equipment Maintenance Operator to support aggregate plant operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating plant equipment. This role ensures machinery is running efficiently while also operating heavy equipment to support daily production and site activities. This is a full‑time, seasonal position.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on aggregate plant equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issues or equipment failures
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and take corrective action as needed
- Operate loaders, excavators, dozers, and haul trucks to support plant and site operations
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials to and from the aggregate plant
- Perform excavation, grading, and material handling tasks as required
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently at all times
- Assist with additional maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors or plant management
- Maintain regular in‑person attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and working around plant equipment
- Ability to safely access and navigate plant facilities, including climbing and descending ladders
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours as operational needs require
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with supervisors and coworkers
- Willingness to learn, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Dependability and commitment to safety
- Mechanical skills are beneficial but not required
