POSITION TITLE:  Mechanic (outboard boat engines, generators, hydraulic pumps, trucks)

DEPARTMENT:  Equipment & Yard

LOCATION:  Niagara Falls, New York

SALARY RANGE:  $22 to $30 per hour

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor looking for a mechanic. This full-time position requires a hard-working, motivated, and mechanically inclined person to fill this maintenance position and assist with daily equipment repair operations. Work involves some heavy lifting. Will be working inside of maintenance shop most of the time but must be able to work outside in hot and cold environments if needed. Some overtime may be required.  Must have a valid driver’s license.

The daily work will include:

• Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
• Installation/repair of 90hp, 115hp, 150hp Yamaha outboard boat engines
• Maintenance/repair of diesel generators and water pumps
• Assisting with repairs of dump trucks and over the road tractors

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of a technical training school or a minimum of 4 years’ experience.  Other degrees will be considered based on experience and past performance. Other job requirements include:

• Electrical troubleshooting
• Making hydraulic hoses
• Installation of motor/steering controls and lighting on new build boats

SALARY/BENEFITS:
