POSITION TITLE:  Hydrographic Surveyor/GPS Technician

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor looking for a Hydrographic Surveyor/GPS Technician to support our dredging and capping operations on several projects across the country.  This position can be based anywhere in the United States and travel to various sites will be required.

The daily work will include:

• Assisting with daily reporting for dredging and capping production estimates
• Installation of Dredgepack/Trimble Machine Control Software, GPS, and inclinometers during project mobilization
• Troubleshooting GPS equipment, cables, inclinometers, and software as needed
• Performing single/multi beam hydrographic surveys using Hypack
• Processing survey data and presentation of the data
• Performing hydrographic surveys and presentation of survey data to the owner

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering related discipline with a minimum of three years’ of experience.  Other degrees/education will be considered based on experience and past performance.  Other job requirements include:

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Proficient with Trimble Global Positioning Equipment (GPS)
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Proficient with Trimble Machine Control, Hypack, and Dredgepack Software
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Train new hires to perform hydrographic surveys and dredge positioning systems
