The team at Coastline is looking to hire a Shop Technician and look to find an enthusiastic candidate to round out the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics and Repairs: Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology, both in the shop and in the field.
  • Mentorship: Mentor Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
  • Customer Support: Conduct or support customer clinics.
  • Documentation: Ensure complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs, and timely submission of information.
  • Training: Participate in Service Training programs for skill and knowledge development.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay updated on John Deere and competitive products.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required Service Repairs: Experience performing service repairs and consistently meeting performance metrics.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with repairs and maintenance using special tools and Technical Manual procedures, particularly on specialized machines.
  • System Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in off-road, construction, or heavy equipment.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostics.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills; experience with Service ADVISOR™ or similar diagnostic tools preferred.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Toolset: Possession of an adequate toolset for job responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Degree or Certificates: Advanced or Master Service Technician certifications and degree in Diesel Repairs, Heavy Equipment Technology, or related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience working on the John Deere line and competitive products.

Physical Requirements

  • Safety Sensitive Clearances: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Physical Conditions: Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
