Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reports To: Head of Human Resources

Status: Salaried, Full-Time, Exempt

Position Location:  Regional/Southeast US

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles across our multiple divisions.
  • Source, screen, and assess candidates using job boards, internal databases, and other recruiting tools.
  • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews, coordinating closely with hiring managers throughout the process.
  • Initiate and complete reference checks, pre-employment background screenings, and drug tests.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and documentation through our applicant tracking system.
  • Travel to job fairs, hiring events, and company locations (approximately 40% travel) to support field hiring initiatives.
  • Assist with employer branding and outreach strategies to build talent pipelines in key markets.
  • Monitor and report on key recruiting metrics to evaluate the success of sourcing strategies.
  • Provide a high-quality candidate experience by maintaining timely and professional communication.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or a related HR function.
  • Strong understanding of applicant tracking systems and digital recruiting platforms.
  • Previous experience supporting high-volume or field-based recruiting.
  • Knowledge of compliance and hiring best practices across multiple states.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple open roles and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, travel as needed, and adapt quickly to changing hiring needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software programs.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
  • Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a cross-functional team environment.

This position will work directly with employee files and will perform services for the Company that may require the Company to disclose confidential and proprietary information to the Employee. (Confidential Information is information and data of any kind concerning any matters affecting or relating to the business or operations of company, and/or the products, drawings, plans, processes, or other data of the Company not generally known or available outside of the company. As well as protected information belonging to other employees such as social security numbers, payrates, and medical information for them and members of their family.) As such this position will require the employee to sign a Confidentiality Agreement agreeing to protect the confidential and proprietary information of the Company and its employees.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires up to 40% travel including some out of town and overnight.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • May occasionally be exposed to noise, dust, and a variety of substances that are typically associated with a construction site. Environmental Conditions
