SPRAY TECHNICIAN DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Accurately and safely calibrating, recording, and applying chemicals to designated landscaped areas to maintain or improve the condition of the plant materials or turf.
  • Monitoring targeted areas for existing and potential problems.
  • Working independently or with others under little or no supervision.
  • Maintaining current, accurate records of products used, problems encountered, or other information essential to the job.
  • Lifting and carrying items weighing in excuses of 50 lbs.
  • Maintaining and safely operating various equipment, including a spray truck, backpack sprayers, rotary and drop spreaders, and all related application and calibration products.
  • Communicating well with others and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Establishing and maintaining safety and security for all employees and customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school degree or GED is required.
  • One year experience or a minimum of a two-year degree in a related field.
  • Must currently have or be able to obtain a Chemical Applicators Certification.
  • Must have a valid Class D driver's license and clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with customer service.
  • Candidate must be able to walk for long periods of time.
  • Must have a willingness to work long hours and a varying schedule.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors under varying environmental condition.

 

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS

  • $20.00 – $30.00 per hour based on experience and licenses/certifications
