Direct Report:

Purpose:

  • This position will help maintain warehouse stock and assist in fulfilling orders. This position will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on the shop’s production schedule as well as assists with organizing and maintaining existing inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in reviewing pick sheets based on production schedule and then pulling the right products for each project
  • Works closely with the inventory group to monitor supply levels and submit purchasing recommendations on a regular basis
  • Loads and unloads delivery trucks and make sure that each incoming delivery matches the company purchase order
  • Collaborates with the inventory control and purchasing groups to determine when product is missing in a delivery
  • Works under immediate supervision in a shop environment
  • Reports any problems or issues to supervisor for assistance
  • Performs job duties in a safe and efficient manner
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Performs other functions/duties as required
  • May operate forklifts and other machinery to place materials
    • Machinery operation requires authorization

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain)
  • Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds)
  • Frequent bending, twisting and standing
  • Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as required
  • The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required.  This includes: hard hat, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the location
  • Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident which includes within and around locations and when required to climb and descend stairs to access available exits

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of construction or related experience

Skills:

  • Ability to clearly communicate with supervisors and co-workers
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, machines, equipment
  • Ability to learn and gain knowledge
  • Ability to follow work orders or receive instructions
  • Ability to utilize a forklift
  • Ability to adhere to Safety policies and procedures

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required

Licenses or Certifications:

  • OSHA 10 Certification Preferred
