Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Service Technician to our team in Bangor, ME. As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will specialize in the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This role ensures that these life-saving systems are functioning correctly to protect properties and occupants in the event of a fire. The technician works both on new installations and on maintaining existing systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards

As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will:

  • Install overhead sprinkler piping.
  • Install and service valves, devices, and trim.
  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Manipulate pipe to specifications.
  • Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
  • Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Plan installations or repairs according to the conditions encountered.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work an unpredictable and ever-changing work schedule
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical background preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of previous experience preferred
  • Licensed Backflow Tester (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
  • Licensed Maine Fire Sprinkler (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with others
  • Proven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to lift ­­up to at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders
