BIM Leader

Tessiers Mechanical Contractors, the Midwest’s premier mechanical contractor, is looking for a motivated individual to bring their mechanical experience to a growing dynamic team as a BIM Leader.  We are looking for someone who enjoys working as a team, has a good attitude and a willingness to work hard. This fast-paced job gives you the opportunity to be on the front end of projects to help identify problems before construction begins.

Job Duties:

  • Lead BIM team from concept to final fabrication drawings
  • Review plumbing and mechanical construction documents
  • Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems in Revit and AutoCAD Fabrication
  • Coordinate Scanning technology
  • Produce Field install drawings for field and fabrication shop
  • Closely communicate with field, fabrication team, and project managers
  • Support team at project coordination meetings
  • Opportunity - Establish and maintain outsourced relationships including providing standards, expectations and project work
  • Quality Control - Work with Leads to ensure that we provide consistent and accurate information to the field
  • Accountability: Track and maintain project hours against budget
  • Innovation - Process & Systems Improvement
  • Responsible for the management and coaching of a team of 2 direct reports

 Minimum Requirements

  • 2 year technical degree or equivalent applicable experience required
  • 3-5 years of experience leading/managing others
  • Must have AutoCAD and Revit knowledge/experience
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a time and meet deadlines
  • Experience on medium to large commercial construction projects
  • Project management experience is a big plus
  • Design or field experience a plus but not necessary
  • Experience with the following software:
    • Revit base knowledge
    • AutoCAD Fabrication
    • AutoDesk Construction Cloud is a plus
    • Navisworks Manage
    • Bluebeam
    • Trimble
    • Microsoft Excel/Office Suite/Outlook
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
