SUMMARY:
Azurite Professional Community is recruiting for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant position. The position is located in our Albuquerque, NM office. The HR Assistant is responsible for completing the tasks related to the following functional areas, but is not limited to recruitment, screening candidates, hiring process, orientation/onboarding process, new hire paperwork, HRIS/Talent management, training, personnel management, reporting, safety, and employment law compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs administrative functions within the human resources department. Works closely with the Supervisor for guidance on practice and procedure adherence. Assists with the day-to-day tasks of the HR department.
- Responsible for the maintenance of employment files, processing required status forms and paperwork, and entering data entry ensuring systems containing employment-related data are accurate and timely.
- Coordinates closely with Payroll for accurate and timely payroll processing. Assisting the team with timesheet corrections, data entry, and follow-ups on missing information.
- Assists with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, conducting background and reference checks, and generating offer letters.
- Screen applications, conduct phone screens, and select qualified candidates.
- Advertise all the open positions on the job boards and social media platforms.
- Prepares new hire kit and mails it out to the office of the new hire before the start date.
- Conducts the new hire orientation of all new employees and oversights the onboarding process. Process drug test paperwork prior to the start date of new hire.
- Schedule new hire orientation and complete the onboarding process and paperwork.
- Assists with benefit enrollment, organizing wellness programs within the company, and preparing flyers and communication notices for employees.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and follows best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of HR ongoing trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Assists the Supervisor in the administration of various human resource policies and may assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, employee handbook, and policies and procedures manual.
- Assisting with recruiting efforts for the company and its subsidiaries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum two years of HR/Finance-related experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass the drug test.
- Excellent communication and writing skills required.

Salary Grade $17.00 - $24.00 Per Hour
