About The Role
We are seeking a well-qualified Scheduler to join our high performing team. The successful candidate will work well with project stakeholders including Project Management, Operations, Engineering, Customer and the Project Management Office. This position will coordinate/collaborate with other functional departments of the organization, providing schedule baseline and updates, analytics, along with process improvement and tools development for all projects. The Scheduler will work collaboratively with cross-functional project teams to provide schedule functions for assigned projects throughout the entire duration of the project.
Job Duties:
- Requires advanced knowledge of P6.
- Create, update, and analyze project engineering, permitting, and construction schedules based on project scope and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Facilitate Planning Sessions, where key project stakeholders plan and discuss the major project tasks, interdependency of other tasks, duration and resource needs.
- Develop proposal schedules as requested.
- Review schedule with project stakeholders to confirm logic, resource, and duration, including equipment, material and permitting as needed.
- Develop and issue the project baseline schedule and basis. Maintain the baseline schedule throughout the project.
- Regularly interaction with Customers and internal UU team including engineering, procurement, construction, customer, and/or other project stakeholders to obtain progress. Provide updates per contract and project requirements.
- Perform schedule what-if scenarios and analysis.
- Analyze critical path, schedule performance indicators, schedule variances and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Accountable for accurate and timely schedule reports, including variance analysis, critical path, summary, and schedule detail in accordance with contract requirements.
- Actively participate in project review meetings, providing clear and accurate schedule assessment. Provide proactive advice to drive successful project completion.
- Incorporate approved changes into project schedules.
- Ability to maintain and organize multiple projects within a large Work Order based Program.
- Ensure schedule is developed and maintained per DCMA 14-Point Check standards.
Job Qualifications/Skills: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for this opportunity)
- Advanced Proficiency in P6
- Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented individuals who will proactively pursue and investigate issues to identify project related risks/issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to diagnosis and solve problems within limited time frames.
- Highly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Efficient at data capture and analysis exercises using various inputs.
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering or in related field, or bachelor’s degree equivalency with practical experience and knowledge of relevant technical systems.
- 5+ years of P6 and project experience.
Physical Demands:
- Must be willing to travel to various UU offices.
- Capacity to think, concentrate and focus for extended periods of time.
- Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.
- Capacity to express thoughts orally.
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with their arms.
