The team at Coastline is looking to hire a Parts Counter Sales at their Long Beach, CA branch and look to find an enthusiastic candidate to round out the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Relationship: Quickly establish rapport and provide quality customer experience through knowledge and system use.
- Parts Recommendations: Provide parts recommendations, including alternatives, to meet customer needs.
- Order Fulfillment: Fulfill online orders promptly and manage will call area.
- System Utilization: Effectively use computer applications like Sales Manual, JD Parts®, Parts Expert®, JD Point®, PartsAdvisor®, barcode system, and Dealer Business System.
- Technician Support: Supply Service Technicians with required parts.
- Showroom Maintenance: Assist in preparing and maintaining a professional showroom image and merchandise displays.
- Rental Management: Field calls for rental equipment, execute rental contracts, inspect rental equipment, monitor service intervals, and clean returned rental equipment.
- Inventory Management: Verify shipment receipts, place parts in inventory, assist in cycle counts, and address inventory discrepancies.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate a forklift and other related equipment.
- Training Participation: Seek and participate in company-sponsored training to enhance skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
- Professionalism: Demonstrate professionalism when dealing with customers and sales staff.
- Sales Understanding: Basic understanding of selling processes.
- Data Entry Skills: Basic data entry/keyboarding skills and experience with Microsoft-based products.
- Team and Independent Work: Experience working both independently and in a team setting.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with software, computers, and office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience working in a customer-facing parts sales role.
- John Deere Knowledge: Preferred knowledge of John Deere equipment and competitors.
Physical Requirements
- Safety Sensitive Clearances: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Physical Conditions: Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
