Apprenticeship coordination is key to creating an ideal and efficient apprenticeship program. By having a coordination process in place, Watson Electrical can ensure our apprentices receive the support, guidance and resources required to set them up for success. This includes providing apprentices with the right resources for an optimal learning experience. Having a coordinated apprenticeship program in place ensures all stakeholders benefit from an efficient and successful program - from apprentices to operations, and the entire organization itself.
The Apprentice Training Coordinator will report to the Apprentice Program Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a point of contact for all Apprenticeship related questions and inquiries.
- Manages internal documentation system and records
- Assist in maintaining records of Apprenticeship and Development events and milestones to ensure compliance with both state and internal requirements.
- Monitor and coach apprentice growth and development to company standards and culture.
- Assists in managing event planning for internal and external events.
- Create and distribute weekly updates with internal stakeholders and Apprenticeship teams to track apprentice development and program lifecycle progress.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Other duties as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices throughout their program of study and work experience.
- Track and report program performance data.
Position Requirements:
Licenses - Current Driver’s License
Education - High School or equivalent
Experience - Prior apprenticeship experience or High School administration preferred. Experience in in Learning Management System (LMS) and/or training a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment.
- Able to work 40 hours per week, overtime as required
