The team at Coastline is looking to hire a Service Manager at their Santa Maria, CA branch and look to find an enthusiastic candidate to round out the team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Team Development: Develop and enforce Service Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Goal Setting and Budgeting: Create annual Service Department goals and budget aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Marketing Plan Execution: Develop and execute the Service Department marketing plan, monitoring monthly to achieve goals.
  • Claim Management: Submit service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within required timeframes.
  • Personnel Oversight: Open ROs, schedule, and assign jobs based on employees' skills and knowledge.
  • Work Orders: Review work orders for completeness and accuracy before customer billing.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.
  • Recruiting and Development: Manage recruiting, staffing, and employee development for the Service Department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Service Department Experience: 5+ years of experience in Service Department operations.
  • Financial Understanding: Basic understanding of financial principles related to Service Department operations.
  • Software Proficiency: Ability to use standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Report Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
  • Communication Skills: Effective writing and speaking skills for individuals and groups.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Leadership: Experience leading a team and developing member’s professional skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Driving: Must be able to drive and travel in a vehicle. For the purposes of driving, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Work Flexibility: Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Physical Demands: Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally require standing or moving between office areas.
