Essential Duties of the General Foreman role includes but are not limited to:
- Crew Supervision: Lead and oversee field personnel, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure productivity and quality.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members comply with Soltek’s safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Daily Planning: Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment needs based on project schedules and Superintendent direction.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to required specifications, standards, and project drawings.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues in real-time, escalating larger concerns to the Superintendent as needed.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between field crews and site management; communicate daily updates, needs, and progress.
- Documentation: Complete daily field logs, track manpower, materials used, and work performed.
- Tool and Equipment Management: Ensure proper use, maintenance, and security of tools and equipment on-site.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
To be successful in this role, a qualified candidate will:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or construction management coursework preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of construction field experience in commercial or public works preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, equipment, safety practices, and blueprint reading.
- Skills: Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Salary Range: $90k-$110K per year
