Project Manager

(Mechanical Construction)

Project Manager is responsible for managing mechanical HVAC/Plumbing/Piping construction projects during all phases of development to job completion. Demonstrated ability to excel in these areas of project management: scheduling, budgeting/cost control, financial reporting, client relationship, and a familiarity with mechanical and plumbing construction activities for a variety of projects including Healthcare, Institutional, Industrial and Governmental. This position reports to President/CEO.  

BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN ENGINEERING PREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 5 years of experience.

  • Experience with large mechanical and plumbing construction projects during all phases of development to job completion.
  • Experience with Mechanical HVAC/Plumbing/Piping, and Government Contracting.
  • Experience creating bid documents and bids for subcontracts and vendors.
  • Experience in preparing budgets, estimates, and scopes of work for mechanical contracts.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, mechanical plans to identify pre-fabrication opportunities.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Determine and prepare project schedules with full understanding of the construction process.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors activities and equipment orders.
  • Management multiple projects and all project deliverables, PO’s contracts, change orders.
  • Review/approve invoices, monitor subcontractors’ progress, performance, quality and timeliness.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient with computerized estimating software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excel at managing multiple projects and completing deadlines with a “can-do" attitude.
  • Effective organizational, customer relations (GC/Owners) and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business planning, resource allocation, leadership and coordination of project resources.
  • Must be a self-starter, possess strong verbal & written communication skills & solid understanding of mechanical construction principles & practices.

  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Pass FBI background check

  • Lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds
  • See and hear (either naturally or with correction)
  • Location: Office & Construction Jobsite Office
    • Climb up and down ladders, stairs, and scaffolds
    • Maintain balance on scaffolds, platforms and uneven ground
    • Stoop, kneel and crouch
    • Stand and walk for long periods
    • Work at elevated areas
