Summary:

The Scheduler is an integral part of the project execution team. This scheduler will develop an extensive knowledge and analytical skills in integrated project controls to add value to the project team and company leadership. Integrated project controls leverages a synergistic approach to estimating, scheduling, project progress and performance analysis, and project controls. This scheduling role will support and report to a senior scheduling mentor, while working with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Field Supervision, and Regional Managers across the company.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Schedule / Project Reporting Development & Maintenance:

· Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.

· Utilize CPM to evaluate total float, critical path, and identify schedule risk.

· Identify, manage and communicate schedule change throughout the project execution.

· Leverage senior scheduling mentorship to develop a broad skill and knowledge base.

· Project Monitoring & Reporting:

· Develop and maintain Excel based project reporting, which query data through Power-BI.

· Develop and maintain manpower curves, revenue curves, and commodity curves.

· Develop custom reports as needed in Excel to support project performance evaluations and risk mitigation.

· Collaboration & Coordination:

· Work closely with project teams and senior scheduler to refine schedules and ensure alignment with project objectives.

· Document and communicate progress, change, and risk appropriately.

· Solicit feedback from experienced team members to facilitate efficient learning and professional development.

· Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

· In-office or hybrid work to facilitate effective mentorship and professional development.

· Ability to travel to satellite offices and jobs sites to expand construction experience and build working relationships.

· Ability to work independently, and willingness to ask questions.

· Strong analytical skills, and common-sense approach to implementation of fit-for-purpose process and tools.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

· Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 is preferred but not required.

· Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

· Excellent attention to detail, and high-quality work product.

· Mindful and growth oriented, with a desire to add value and serve the team.

· Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, including operations, management, peers, and mentors.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting.

· Construction experience as a project engineer, project coordinator, or intern is preferred.

 

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a relevant field or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.

· Expected experience 0-5 years, preferably within the construction industry.
