Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Workforce Coordinator to support our 30+ locations. This role is hybrid but will report out of our Corporate Support location in Rochester, NY.
As the Workforce Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the operational needs of the organization by building and sustaining relationships with local schools, colleges, and community organizations to develop a robust pipeline of prospective employees. This position proactively engages community resources to attract, inspire, and prepare candidates for a variety of roles within the organization, supporting long-term workforce planning and diversity objectives. This role is crucial in guaranteeing that our branches have sustainable and scalable talent pipelines to support their intended growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with high schools, vocational programs, colleges, universities, and community organizations.
- Organize and participate in career fairs, classroom presentations, career days, and introduce students and community members to career opportunities.
- Coordinate internship, apprenticeship, and work-based learning programs, including the recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of participants.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify future workforce needs and align outreach strategies with organizational talent goals.
- Promote the organization’s employer brand within the community by engaging in public speaking and representing the organization at local events.
- Identify and leverage local workforce development grants, training programs, and other resources to support employment initiatives.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of pipeline-building activities, providing regular updates to leadership.
- Facilitate educational workshops or informational sessions about the industry, career paths, and essential skills for targeted groups.
- Monitor and support program participants’ progress, provide feedback and connecting them to additional resources as needed.
- Ensure all outreach and partnership activities reflect the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, education, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience in talent acquisition, workforce development, education, or community engagement preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to present to groups and interact with diverse audiences.
Starting Pay Rate: $60,000-$65,000 per year
