Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and executing the company’s strategic business development initiatives. This role involves identifying market opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and driving growth within the Water Resource, Power Generation, Mining, and Industrial & Commercial Markets. The Business Development Manager will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive business development and marketing strategies and collaborate with other departments to achieve business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop and implement strategic business development plans and objectives to support the company's growth and market share objectives, in coordination with senior management.

· Lead market research efforts to identify trends, market needs, and potential clients, translating insights into actionable business opportunities.

· Establish and nurture relationships with key industry players, potential clients, and partners to expand business opportunities.

· Assist in the preparation of bids, proposals, and presentations, ensuring they align with company standards and client expectations.

· Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.

· Represent the company and actively participate at industry events, conferences, and networking events to promote the company’s services and capabilities.

· Collaborate with the marketing department to develop and execute marketing strategies that support business development objectives.

· Monitor and analyze sales and marketing activity against goals, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve targets.

· Travel to meet with and market our capabilities with current and potential clients and engineers.

· Report on business development activities, progress towards goals, and potential challenges to the executive team.

Requirements

· Proven ability to develop and execute business development strategies, with a strong track record of achieving revenue targets.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

· Strong leadership and team management abilities.

· Deep understanding of market research, sales, and negotiating principles.

· Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the business and organization.

· Possess strong relationships with clients and engineers in the heavy civil industry.

 

Education and Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

· At least seven years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the construction, engineering, or similar sectors.
