Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Field Manager for projects in Southwest Michigan.
Basic Duties & Responsibilities
The Construction Field Manager will serve as the lead on-site representative for project management. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting daily inspections to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintaining communication and correspondence among all stakeholders, including contractors, owners, and architects.
- Supporting the Project Manager and other team members with cost control, contractor quotes, change orders, and payment approvals.
- Acting as a liaison between contractors, architects, and project owners.
- Create and manage construction schedules.
- Review, process and coordinate project submittals.
- Schedule and conduct pre-construction, construction and punch list meetings.
- Maintain and enforce project site safety.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple trades on large, complex projects (preferably educational) valued up to $25 million.
- Have a thorough knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
- Have a strong knowledge of a variety of construction trades.
- Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
- Willingness to participate in a team-focused environment.
