Hercules Custom Iron is a premier fence and perimeter security company in the VA/DC/MD area. We excel in commercial and high security work at some of the most prestigious locations in the United States. Hercules is hiring an experienced millwright based at HCI, but will service two national production facility clients. Flexible schedule, but must be able to work Mondays and Sundays. OR willing to hire someone for Sunday work ONLY. Overtime opportunity is regularly available.

Pay:      Starting at $35/hour + Regular OT

Full time employee eligible for $2500 signing bonus 

Part time employee is NOT eligible for this signing bonus

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with 3 phase and low voltage power
  • Experience with fasteners, hand & power tools, precision measurement tools, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment, and assembly/disassembly of machinery
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Experience with photo eyes and proximity switches
  • Knowledge in use of calipers and micrometers
  • Familiar with general plumbing using PVC, Copper and black iron pipe
  • Strong teamwork capabilities
  • Good communication skills, self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Ability to quickly problem solve

Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience as a mechanic within a production facility preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds and maneuver in tight places (in and around machinery)
  • Ability to stand, bend or lift for at least eight hours

Other:

  • High School Education or GED preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Reliable transportation
