General Description
The part-time Receptionist will attend to visitors and deal with inquiries on the phone and face to face. Receptionist will supply information regarding the organization to the general public, clients and customers. The schedule is Monday – Friday.
Key Duties
- Answer multiple phone lines professionally
- Operate the switchboard
- Meet and greet guests professionally
- Pickup/Sort and deliver mail within the office
- Prepare documents and other items for shipping
- Clean and maintain the department break area daily
- Data Entry
- Filing
- Some light typing, such as file labels and mailing labels, air bills and verification letters
- Order lunch for meetings as necessary
- Maintain department office supplies
- Copy and scan documents, such as employee files as necessary
- Become proficient in use of all office machines required to perform job duties
- Complete assigned tasks with minimal follow-up
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
- Other office duties as assigned and requested
Qualification Requirements
- General. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Duty satisfactorily. - Education and Experience. This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a Receptionist. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees. One (1) year of office related duties and experience. Must have valid Florida Driver’s license with good driving record.
- Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Receptionist, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Frequent ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
- Ability to drive a company vehicle for various recruiting events.
- Frequent ability to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone;
- Frequent ability to operate standard office equipment, using hand and arm dexterity;
- Frequent ability to navigate through office environment, including periodic use of stairs and/or elevator, as needed;
- Infrequent ability to lift general office documents and materials, up to 10 pounds;
- Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Receptionist encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Work generally is performed in an office environment, although periodic visits to construction sites and manufacturing facilities may be required.
- Noise level in the typical office work environment is quiet.
