Smyth Industries Well & Pump Division is currently searching for an individual with Water Infrastructure Industry experience as a Pump Rig Crewman to help enhance our current team. We provide full-service electrical, civil, manufacturing, engineering and general contracting services for the water and reclamation industry.
The ideal candidate will foster teamwork and create a positive work environment in a fast-paced industry, while helping our Arizona clients engineer, rehabilitate, manufacture and construct water distribution and treatment infrastructure.

In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in the water and reclamation industry by:
- Exhibit technical knowledge and experience in the well & pump trade.
- Exhibit the ability to set up and maintain a clean organized work area.
- Self-motivated to complete job task that are assigned
- Work in the field with other crew members to complete daily tasks
- Able to prioritize list of tasks to make the best use of time given to accomplish tasks
- Provide effective project communication.
- Complete nonroutine task as assigned.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
- Perform semi-skilled and skilled laboring duties related to installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of tasks.
- Ability to select tools to complete daily job tasks.
- Knowledgeable in the use of basic hand tools to perform daily job functions: screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, cordless drills, hand operated saw, level etc.
- Handle tailing chains and elevators during the process of pulling out a pump.
- Ensure the jobsite is cleaned of debris and secured before leaving daily.
- Perform the company’s end of day procedure on the support truck when returning to the yard.
- Assist the Rig Operator and 3rd Man in use of chain wrenches and bull tong during the process of pulling and installing pump.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of well & pump trade experience
- Knowledgeable of the following tasks: rigging and installing pumps, proper and safe removal of equipment
- Self-motivated, task-oriented, leader
- Required to possess a valid driver's license and legally be able to operate a company vehicle.
- Required to pass a preemployment drug screening
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Must be able to physically perform all required duties which may include bending, lifting 50-pound objects, carrying 50-pound items, squatting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, working outdoors most of the time, or standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Required to wear company supplied Personal Protective Equipment.
- Applicant should be comfortable working around industrial equipment.
